Holiday Mixer, raffle and food drive rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 7

MADISON — The Madison Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has rescheduled its Holiday Mixer, raffle and food drive for Monday, Jan. 7, from 7-9 p.m. at Genna’s Lounge, 105 W. Main St. on the Capitol Square. The party will take place in the upstairs bar, and will be preceded by the group’s monthly business meeting at 5 p.m. All area journalists are invited, and the event is free.

The raffle features about $500 in prizes, including:

Proceeds from the raffle will support SPJ’s Madison chapter. SPJ members and journalists who renew their memberships or join the organization on the night of the party will receive a free drink. SPJ will also be collecting non-perishable food items for donation to the Goodman Community Center’s Food Pantry. Attendees who bring a non-perishable food donation to the party will receive a complimentary raffle ticket.
